Late in the evening, my son fell asleep, and I had the opportunity to talk about God's gift. Now we are parents, we have Yaroslav. We have been waiting for this event for 8 years. There were no children - the reason is in me. I didn’t hear the diagnosis of “infertility” from doctors, they treated ovarian dysfunction (they didn’t work at all and don’t work to this day). I was treated for a long time, despaired.

I understood: my prodigal life is the cause of everything. And my husband and I began to pray to the Mother of God with the akathist "Unexpected Joy." About it interesting fact heard about two years ago. I remember how everyone in our church was alarmed when they learned that an unusual couple was coming to get married. Already from Japan!

Why to us? How did they get here? Such miles! Why didn't they find a closer church?

It turned out that the wife in this married couple is Russian, and comes from Ulyanovsk, and the husband, indeed, is Japanese.

My wife's mother, Valentina Mikhailovna, a close friend of Evgenia Alekseevna Cherkasova, a parishioner of our church, has repeatedly been to Bolgar and, in particular, to St. Abraham's Church. In personal communication with her father Vladimir, she shared her misfortune. Daughter Anya has been married for five years, and her husband does not have a soul in her - he truly loves. And everything would be fine - but there are no children. Anya's mother is not the only one who comes with this problem. And father Vladimir first of all asks: is the marriage crowned, is it blessed from the Lord. In this case, it turned out that the spouses were not married, the husband was not even baptized.

Love for his wife and the desire to have children took over, and Fumiaki (that was the name of Ani's husband) decided to accept Holy Baptism and get married. Baptism and wedding took place in our church. Many came to admire this amazing couple.

And here again the plane from Japan delivers Anya to Russia, but now with her little daughter. At baptism in St. Abraham's Church, she was given beautiful name— Fevroniya. After that, everyone gathered in the refectory to celebrate this event. The brisk girl did not want to sit still. Mom said that she starts to babble - both in Russian and in Japanese. That's the way it should be. After all, Bolgar is now a small homeland for both Pope Fumiaki-Sergei and Fumine-Fevronia. Here they were reborn. For the Orthodox faith.
