On July 8, 2018, our good friend, a graduate of the Historical and Archival Institute of the Russian State Humanitarian University and just a great guy, Andronik Parfyonov, died as a result of an accident.

He entered the Faculty of Archives in 2012 and from the first days at the Historical and Archives Institute became one of the most notable students. Andronicus attracted attention with his erudition, upbringing, responsiveness, knowledge of a foreign language (he was the only one who already spoke French fluently in his first year). With these qualities and his successes, he spurred others to improve.
One could always rely on Andronicus. When he was around, you knew: "If anything, he will not be at a loss, he will offer something, he will shine." So it was in couples, seminars, conferences, internships at the French School of Charters.
No matter what happened, he remained friendly and sympathetic. You could always turn to him for advice or help.
Without a doubt, he would have honorably represented the university, the institute and the faculty as a professional.
His passing is a great loss.

It is impossible to believe that we will no longer see this beautiful and talented Man with a beautiful soul and kind heart, a true patriot of his Fatherland and a wonderful student. I knew that my eldest son had made a trip to Izborsk and Pechory, because I myself went to these places in my youth, and drove him before school. When my son called on my birthday and announced that he had reached the Riga seaside, my wife and I could not help but guess that this was a happy opportunity to propose.
I received the last message on Sunday at one o'clock in the afternoon: "We were at the service in the Pechora Monastery and took communion together," and it was the day of Peter and Fevronia.
On the way home at about six o'clock in the evening heavy rain Nissan-Tiana hooked the rear wheel of the semi-trailer and the car was swept into the oncoming lane. From a collision with a Ford Transit, Andronik died on the spot, Valentina died in the emergency room.
It hurts to see the last photos they took at sea. They are happy, they found each other, they lit their fire of love here. However, it hurts especially, because they were our people, so out of date, who went to church on their own, so touchingly and slowly approaching each other. They met six months ago in the historical society "Ball in the Russian Estate" and now Valentina has a ring on her hand, she accepted the main offer of her life.
Where there is justice, there is no love. They were unable to communicate their decision in person. Two angels - that's what everyone who was at the funeral and sent condolences called them. I can't read Valentina's diary without tears:
“The problem is not that it has been sitting in our closets for years, but that we consider it our wealth. But it's still half the trouble. It is much worse when we start to accumulate resentment and irritation, when we replay unpleasant memories in our heads again and again. But do we really need such wealth? Maybe it's better to collect pleasant memories, warm moments and noble deeds? Maybe it’s not a fat wallet that makes a person rich, but the ability to love and forgive, thank and respect? Of course, you can’t pack it in a box and put it on the mezzanine, but not because it is not material, but because it will always be with you, in your heart, and you will need it every minute of your life.
Just the other day in the Pskov region Russian Federation there was a terrible accident. The young son of the famous Yaroslavl priest, Andronik Parfyonov, died in it. The entire diocese of Yaroslavl expressed its deepest condolences to priest Alexander Parfyonov on the occasion of the sudden loss of their first child. It is known that the accident occurred just when the guy was returning to his father in Yaroslavl.
In the car at the time of the impact, in addition to Andronik Parfenov himself, there was his girlfriend Valentina. It is reported that the girl also did not survive due to the strong impact of the car on a multi-ton truck. The circumstances of the accident and those responsible for it will be investigated by the investigation team.
At the moment, it is known that a fatal accident occurred on a section of the road in the Novosokolnichesky district of the Pskov region. From there, during the holidays at the university, 24-year-old Andronik Parfyonov was returning by car home to Yaroslavl with his girlfriend named Valentina. The guy announced his arrival shortly before that to his father - Saint Alexander Parfenov. The fact that the son is driving home in a car social network Father Alexander himself confirmed, shortly before the accident.
Some close to the Parfyonov family claimed that Andronik was going to Yaroslavl impatiently, as he wanted to introduce his beloved Valentina to his father. And it is possible - to receive a blessing on their relationship and, in the future - a wedding. Many parishioners of the church where Alexander Parfyonov serves the Lord knew the guy personally and were also looking forward to his arrival together with the girl. That is why the news of the tragic death of Andronik while driving a car touched almost every inhabitant of the city of Yaroslavl and, in part, Pskov, from where the young man was driving home.
The reaction of the church and the father to the death of Andronik Parfyonov
Yakovlevsky Church of Yaroslavl, immediately after confirming the information about the accident, offered condolences to the family and friends of Andronik Parfenov about what had happened. In particular, the church personally brought sympathetic words and words of support to the father of the deceased young man- Priest Alexander Parfenov. Andronicus himself was known precisely because of the peacemaking and charitable deeds of his father. Because of what, the news about the death of the son of the priest Alexander hit the front pages of the news headlines.
The Yaroslavl diocese was very proud and proud of the good reputation of Father Alexander, which spread far beyond the Yaroslavl region. That is why at the moment not only the leadership of the diocese, but also all the parishioners who respected the spiritual work of Priest Parfyonov, are massively mourning the loss of Andronik in a terrible accident and condoling with his father. Father Alexander personally announced the official date of farewell to the deceased Andronik and his girlfriend Valentina. Farewell to the son of a famous priest will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
Is Andronik Parfyonov guilty of the accident?
At the moment, several key details of the accident in which Andronik Parfenov died are known at once. Firstly, the car ended up (most likely due to bad weather, turning by accident) in the oncoming lane. A car with young people crashed into a Scania truck that was driving opposite, after which the already crumpled car was thrown into the final collision for the driver with a Ford passenger car. According to the paramedics of the ambulance that arrived at the scene of the accident, Andronik died on the spot at the time of the second blow, and they tried to save his girlfriend Valentina in the hospital, but this was also not achieved. Doctors reported the death of the girl to reporters after almost a day of fighting for her life.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of a tragic accident in the Pskov region of Russia. The investigation is currently working on all available evidence, expertise and details of the accident. It is not known exactly who is to blame for the terrible accident with two victims, but in the future the investigation team will have more medical and emergency examinations of the case. The investigators themselves previously stated that they see only an accident in the accident, without traffic violations neither from the side of the truck nor from the side of Andronicus driving a Nissan car.
